The Mobius Strip

We are starting a new math club online. I look forward to learning some different ways to introduce math to my children while at the same time getting them excited about learning math.
We start with a Mobius Strip. I simple piece of paper with a bit of a twist. Watch and learn.

The babysitter was still here waiting for here ride and she had never seen a Mobius Strip before. She picked up the idea very quick, (quicker than I ever did).

A book and a song

I was writing books in school today. I liked it so much I decided to come home and write some books.

At school I wrote a book on Star Wars. At home I wrote a prequel. Dad thinks that was something like what George Lucas did when he was writing Star Wars.

Before I wrote the Star Wars books though I wrote a song.

Trip to the Field Museum

Well we finally got our chance to take a trip on the train into the city. We've been looking forward to this for a while now. The Filed Museum was pretty cool, but there weren't enough things to play with for a kid if you know what I mean.

Snort

You never know what is going to be scary later in life.

At the Local 150 picnic yesterday we heard a steam shovel start to move. Well we started running to see it, but as I got closer I realized that this was the exact same type of snort as in "Are You My Mother" by P.D. Eastman.

I was a bit scared. So when my dad was running trying to get a good picture I stopped. At first I said I had to go to the bathroom, but really I was afraid to get too close because I thought the Snort might try to pick me up and put me in a tree.

Abstract Art

I hope you enjoy my art. I measured and cut the paper to fit the frame myself.
